Second gen wiring harness question

Yeah, I have dialectic grease here. Is that similar to what you're talking about? I would use the dialectic grease on the terminal ends, slap them into their slots and then overcoat it with the rubberized coating was what I was talking about.

Dielectric grease should also work, but it's different. GE silicone grease looks like Vaseline. I got a bunch from work 20 years ago that was being tossed, and I still haven't used it all up!

So what's the difference between the dialectic grease and the silicon? Would you recommend one over the other? I know the grease will usually dry out/dissipate over time or at least it seems like that with my experience.

The GE silicone wont dry out like the dielectric will. It pretty much lasts forever. It's also clear, so it wont ooze out and show when you plug it together. I'd go GE silicone myself, or any silicone grease with electircal rating.
