Default Removing Dashboard from my 79

Hey Guys just new to the forum My name is Angelo and Iam going through my mid life crisses so I baught a 79 camaro Z28 . Iam in the process of striping the car down. I got luckly with this car because there is no rust at all on any body part.

The only repairs that Iam doing is rear panel, floor repair, front rad support, pass wheel well and battery tray. Other than that this car will be ready for paint hopefully by Novemaber. The interior is all black viynal and is mint that's why I completly ripped out the inteior and Iam stuck on my dash

The dash is loose from the bottom but the top is still attached. Does the dash go right to the edge of the front windsheild or does it sepperate at the crease in the dash on top? It seems like it wants to sepperate at the crease but I don't want to force it. Are ther screws holding it togerther?

Also does anyone know how to remove the little black ***** on the sidewall floor vents? Iam trying to remove thoses inteior side panels.

Thanks
Angelo

First of all thanks for the welcome guys I know this forum will help me for sure. Thanks Joe for those diagrams but I figured it out on my own today. There are two screws above the gauge cluster and two clips above the glove box , came out like a breez. I still don't know how to remove those black ***** on my floor vents. Those side panels are the only interior left in the car.

Those kick panels are really suck on there. They seal out the water that runs down from the cowl area.

Thanks I wonder now If I messed up the seal because I unscrewed the panel and tried to remove it.
