As far as rear springs go, i have Landrum single leafs on the car, been on there for at least 4 years now and no ill effects. You might also check out calvert racings split mono's. You can get them with stock ride height, or 1 inch taller, not sure about 1 inch shorter. Good luck.

I don't see any reason that a 15"x6" wheel couldn't be fitted with a good tire that had enough meat to corner well. Might not be the best choice for slalom, but there's a lot of good tires out there that will work on a 6" wheel and give great street handling.
But it sounds like he's wanting the skinny drag tire look up front, so wont be doing any hard cornering with those regardless.

I also agree its a drag set up and wont get pulled hard into a corner. I want a 10" front rim but I'm f'in nuts. 275 fronts for that matter.
