Default Radiator flush????

Hey guys quick question!!! How do I flush my radiator??? Does it have one of those little drain plugs or do I disconnect the lower hose??? And once I drain it out should I wash it out somehow???
Thanks guys

Normal flow for a Chevy is in the top hose and out the bottom, so I generally backflush the opposite way. My routine is to drain a little coolant with the petcock at the bottom of the tank, then add radiator cleaner. Run the engine to get things warmed up, then drain the system with the petcock. Then I pull the radiator, and lay it on the floor with outlets up, and radiator cap on. I put a hose (with a rag to help seal) in the lower outlet and turn the water on to flush it until it comes out clear.
Then I just reassemble and refill the system with coolant and water. At least 50/50, but I like more coolant, so I run 75/25.

Mines in the lower left corner of the rad facing the power steering pump. Imagine yours is the same or close by.

Might be a good time to replace your thermostat and hoses while you have it drained.
Inexpensive parts and easy to do with the coolant out.
One less thing to worry about later on down the road.
