Default New acquisition

Hey y'all. I just dragged this one home yesterday. Base car with a 305, auto and AC. Has a bunch of mild issues but ZERO RUST. Didnt think I'd ever find one with a solid body. I can do mechanical things but I'm not great at body work. I raced dirt for 20 years and we only had to look good from about 25 feet and at speed. This car should be a lot of fun. I need at least a driver's seat. I bought it from - not a small - woman and the seat back is laid back. Door hinge pins, cleaning, paint, WHEELS,

miscellaneous other things. I'm pretty stoked about the possibilities. Thanks for letting me play!!

Howdy:

Mom passed away in April at the ripe old age of 90. She bought her beloved 1979 Camaro RS new and left it to me with a total of 92K original miles on on the miserable 305 ci engine. She drove it daily until 2021 and stopped driving it in 2022. Even then, she started it every two or three days to keep the fluids flowing. She had it painted twice. First a deep burgundy, then the gold color you see in the image. Just had it CA Smog tested and now it's once again fit for the road. Still trying to decide what to do with it..But for now, I'll enjoy the ride....

I had a '71 350 the same color and loved that car! Enjoy the ride. Sorry to hear about your Mom but she left you a nice car!
