Don't forget to strip it to bare metal before painting with real paint! Rattle can spray will not make a good base for paint, and it will all peel off eventually if left under new paint.

You can get primer tinted. It works a lot better then spray paint and is a lot easier to sand off.
Just start with grey primer and have the paint shop add pigment to it. Ive had lime green, purple and blue.

Her name is Rosie. Picture was taken after the 2nd coat of primer and the reason for the blanket over the engine compartment is because I had the heads off doing a 3 angle valve job on them and refacing the valves, and i didn't really want paint dust or paint in the cylinders haha. Oh and also me and a buddy HAND SANDED the whole car to bare metal.
