Default pcv with low vacuum

Hey guys, will a pcv valve work properly with low vacuum at idle? i have dont a reading with a gauge yet but the cam i got its a decent size for low vacuum, its a 355. its a comp cam xe284h. Also i did the break in on the cam last night seemed to go good, i want to re-adjust the valves its a hydraulic flat tappet. How tight do you guys tighten them? I was thinking about a 1/4 turn after zero lash.

Most people do 1/4 turn after zero lash. I like zero lash and nothing more myself. The PCV valve will work even with low vacuum, as engine internal pressure will be lower if vacuum is lower. Wouldn't hurt to have a breather in addition to the PCV if you've got holes in the valve covers for both.
