hey guys this is my first time posting a thread and its concernning a race.... well first of all im 15 years old and i just got this 1975 camaro its all stock wit the original 350 engine on it... alright now to the race part.. i have a friend at schoool who has an ej1 hatchback not sure wat year it is or if any mods but he keeps on saying he wants to race me you guys think i can beat him

 

never know, what all specs are both cars? 15 yrs old, don't waste your time. Get more experience on driving the car first before you race it imo.

Too young to even think about racing.You hear about way to many young people dieing from not even racing just driving faster than they have the experience to be driving.

 

I know the last thing you want to hear is a bunch of old guys saying don't race him, but I'd still recommend not doing it. Not worth the ticket, the possible damage, or the injury if it doesn't go well. Been there, done that, and I wish I would have listened too.

 

i tell him that but he keeps on calling me names and last week he wrote ***** all over my car but anyways thnxs and im not going to race him

 

I agree with all the guys here not worth racing no need to prove anything.

Just tell your buddy he watches to much (Fast and the furious)

 

Stock for stock you'd take him pretty good anyway, even though 1975 was the lowest year for horsepower in the Camaro's history.

Let him call you names if it makes him feel better about himself, but I'd be reporting any vandalism. Kid needs to learn to respect other people's property.
