Mystery electronics
Okay so I have a glove box full of misc electronics that I am not sure what they do (if anything) I am assuming that with timing retard electronics the car had a NOS at some point. I am not sure what these electronics do and whether or not I should just remove them and sell them....anyone know? thanks!

Looks like your car was raced. The digital retard could be because the car had nitrous.
The RPM switch can be hooked up to anything to have it turn on at a certain rpm.
Again, nitrous is likely. But you could hook up your windshield wipers to turn on at a certain rpm if you wanted to.
The 3 step module is a 3 channel rev limiter, used for drag racing. You could use it for a trans brake, a line lock, and overall engine rev limiter.

Right, I had my suspicions that it was on the bottle and these confirm that it likely was. It was obviously used as a drag racer judging by the lack of all windshield wiper equipment and non functional parking brake among other clues. The shifter handle had a button on it and the wires lead somewhere in the engine bay. The plugs look nice and tan so either they replaced them just before selling it or they did a rebuild on the motor and it is fresh. I just don't know if the electronics are still serving a purpose.....I suppose I can just disconnect them and see if the car behaves any differently.....
It already looks like a good portion of the wires are disconnected.
Yes, they were non functional as I had assumed. I disconnected the wires and started the car to make sure none of it was integrated into the 6AL or distributor. So anyone looking for a used MSD digi timing retard box? lol
Up to you if you want to sell what you don't need, bbut used electronics don't get much compared to what they cost new. I see things like used MSD 6AL boxes on local CL ads for $50 or less. I paid $40 for mine.
I'd suggest you look at someplace like Summit and price the used stuff at round 25% of what it originally cost new.

I feel cheated now,i paid $50 for mine and it's just a 6a,i paid more than you and you got a rev limiter haha.
