Default lower Dash vents

hi there,

I have a 79 camaro and the lower dash vents contently blows hot air in even though my blower is off and everything is off. I guess my question is does anyone out there know how i can prevent air to be vented through this?

Thanks in advance

edit: this is the vents that are under the dash that comes out behind where the console starts

2nd edit: after looking further into this all my vents blow out hot air to some degree. how can I stop this. it is way too hot for heat to be blowing in this time of year!

Check the control cables for for temp and air/defrost. The fan switch never goes off on these early Camaros unless the air/defrost slide switch is fully to the left. If that switch isn't opening, or if the cable is out of adjustment it can leave the fan in the "low" speed setting and continually blow air.
Look under the dash at that switch and you'll see the wires connected to it. You can unplug them for the summer if you don't find a fan switch replacement soon. Or you can just pull the heater fuse until you figure it out.
