I am looking for a stock and original 1973 Type LT to buy.
Looking for a non-Z28.

Send photos for a start.

Hello:
Not sure about two accounts, or whatever. I hope you can see my avatar in this response. My mom and dad bought a new Camaro Type LT in April 1973. Though they loved the Camaro - they thought a new Chevelle would be a better second car. Dad had a '70 Monte Carlo as the primary. I loved the Camaro Type LT in the showroom as my parents visited. I helped them to make the decision to buy a Type LT. Mom really wanted a dark blue one. Good deal off the lot they bought a brown one with a 350-2, Turbo-Hydro 350, and a 2.73, with A/C. Had defrost, tilt wheel, and all the other stock LT ammenities. A/M w/front and rear speaker too.
They gave it to me in 1983. Held onto it for me. Unfortnately it was raised in upstate ny, and used year round. Cancer did in the lower panels and rear subframe. Drove it till '85 when a broken rear pinion did it in. No money that year as I just graduated from college. Sold it to a salvage yard. Trim, drivetrain, interior, wheels, and all were excellent though. Smelled the same as Mom drove it - like new car and spearmint gum. Today that is an easy fix. In '85 that was a mess.
So sorry to have sold it. I have so many night time dreams, over the past few years that I still own it. It always needs a rsto, but is still there. I suppose I need a therapist.
I miss the car. So many dates, so many speeding tickets.

Can't tell you how many times I've heard similar stories when someone talks to me about a old Camaro they wish they never sold. Glad I've kept mine for over 37 yrs!
