it looks good and thats a decent price, however there could be damage if they didnt flush the power steering fluid before driving it after puting transmission fluid in it, and i suspect they didnt because of the whining noise it makes as per the original poster

 

Doesn't look too bad. You should see if he knows the history of the engine, how it was built, etc.
I'm just curious though, since a "beafy" 350 was put in there, why was he thinking about dropping in a crate engine in it's place?
Is something wrong with it, that he isn't saying? Why switch engines would be another good question to ask him.

 

We have been talking, not about the engine, and it needs a new smog pump to pass emissions. If i replace that is there a good chance it will pass? and ill definitely as him about why he wants to switch motors.

 

no not with that exhuast,and i would not pay anything over 1500 for it.
