Hello,
I am new to this forum and I have a question.
I have a 68 camaro 4-spd, 396.
The end of the yoke where the universal joint is near the xmission is leaking tranny fluid.
This only happens after I run the engine.
I understand that there is a weep hole in the yoke to allow the pressure to equalize in the slip yoke when the suspension is bouncing.
This is an unacceptable leak beacause it leaves a large puddle about 3 inces in diameter and I don't know what to do with it.
The tranny is not overfilled with oil....
Is the yoke or maybe the tailshaft of the tranny worn.
Should I replace the yoke?
Thanks for any help!!!!!

Thanks for the help.
I pulled the driveshaft and removed the yoke.
To my surprise, there was no weep hole or cap of any kind. It was straight open.
I took the yoke to a driveshaft shop and they said the cap was missing.
They offered to replace the cap but the shaft was badly worn so I bought a replacement yoke.
The new yoke has a cap on the end with no hole.
I though that the cap had to have a hole to release the pressure as the yoke slipped in and out of the tranny as the suspension went over bumps. So I'll put it in and see what happens.
Anyone have any thoughts why it doesn't have a weep hole. PS. I forgot to ask the driveline shop while I was there.
