Default Last port on my intake

I just put an eddy 1400 on a 3701 and I'm trying to finish the plumbing. There is one more port that I have NO idea what its for. Its right behind the carb (between the carb and firewall). I've found some articles online, but I've been getting mixed answers. Can anyone give me a quick clue?

TIA
Jon

If you have a TH350 trans, the line to the vacuum modulator goes to that port. Your power brake booster vac hose connects to the rear base of the carb. If the carb doesn't have a large port in back, you can connect the brakes to that port in the intake. Both ports are full manifold vacuum, so it doesn't matter which goes to where. Cork off whatever unused vacuum ports you have left.

The port on the runner should be capped. You have two small on the front. One for vacuum advance, the other small one for the trans. The large one for the PCV. Then get a 1/4" NPT hose barb for the rear of the carb, hook the brake booster here. Then a 1/4" NPT pipe plug for the hole in the runner. This is how I have my truck except my truck has a 700R4 and I don't have a vacuum line going to a modulator.

Hope I didn't miss anything.

Not if he has a TH350, that's where the modulator gets hooked up. The full vac fitting on the carb gets capped off.

Shows what I know running 700's and four speeds. I would have hooked it to ported vacuum without second thought. I would still hook the vacuum advance to manifold though.

I'm running a 4 speed as well, so your setup will work the same for me. Thanks guys, this really helped. Ill post pictures once I have everything hooked up. I have the california emissions, so I'm halfway lost already.

You have Cali emissions or need it?

From what I've gathered, I have to have original emissions setup in good running condition, yet I don't have to pass an emissions test. My VIN is a Van Nuys, thus having California emission setup. I'm not sure if I need it, can downgrade to federal, or completely remove it; This is why I was going to set it up as stock. Maybe another TX resident can give me their advice.
