Newer motor with more HP... 4 speed auto... 4 wheel disc brake setup?

Engines, trans, rear axles, bucket seats, disc brakes, etc. Used to be easier when there were hundreds of 2nd gen Camaros and Firebirds, but still some generic items that are useable if you're not worried about a numbers matching resto.
Local Craiglist is great for performance items like engines, intakes, carbs, headers, wheels, etc. I find more there than I do at junkyards, and always cheaper if you're patient.

You can get a set of B body spindles and then use a Iroc rotor. This gives you a 12" front rotor. Known a a 1LE upgrade. Then a set of s10 rear discs or Ls camaro discs. This will set you back 500 or so.

You can also swap in a later 3rd gen steering box, or S10 steering box and get a quicker ratio steering.

Just pull the pitman arm, install the box, then put the Camaro arm back on the S10 box.

That's the only plus; quicker lock to lock. I personally like the stock box, but I don't slalom. If you're going roadracing or slalom, the S10 box is the hot ticket.
