I luv da 77!
First of all, I'd like to say Hi to all ya'll out there, found this forum a few days ago and it's got alot of good info. I've been interested in older cars for a while, just something about the look says "HELL YEAH!" to me. I've been lookin for a while, for one that just grabs me and hold me. I used to want a 71 mach 1, like my mom used to have, but there was still somethin in the back of my mind that made me hold off. Well, the other day I saw a 77 camaro and BAM! I love it. So now the process begins of learning about them and lookin for one to put in my garage. First off, what is the good and bad about the 77 model? I'd like to learn everything I can about this car. I'd prefer a z28. I'm not really wanting to go straight into a resto project, I'd like to get an every day driver to enjoy and familiarize myself with before I put my personal touch into it. What's the price range I should be lookin at? I've seen a few on ebay, but I wanna stay local. Also, any pics ya'll wanna post relating to the 77, please do so. Can't get enough of this car. Also, anyone have any good wallpapers of the 77? Thanks in advance for all the info and comments.
Best Regards,
Matt

Don't just limit yourself to the 77..they have the same body style from 75 to 77..and also the 74 is almost the same except for the rear window. Good luck on your find...the price goes from 2k to about 9k gor a good 2nd gen.

Thats cool that you like the 77s they arent commonly loved! More specifically its not the best year sorry to say its the most produced = least in value, sadly i own myself, i only say sadly because i bought about a year ago and wanted to make it into a mean machine well i did all the body work on it including 2 fender patches and 2 quarters then had it painted green, didnt like the way the green laid out re-did some of the body work and now its sitting in my garage with new Lemans Blue paint that looks alot nicer! Still sadly because the way its sitting right now seems like the older ones have a better stance with that front end and different tail lights - nothing bigger tires in the rear wouldnt fix but iam becoming more fussy! i would trade it off in a heart beat for a 72 split bumper in bad shape + 3k, in my personal opinion earlier is better but iam glad that someone out there is starting to warm up to the newer ones! By the way i picked mine up in running condition with the stock 305 - Bummer! not a z28 or anything and the body was fairly ruff but he had it covered pretty well with bondo and paint so i couldnt tell! but i picked it up for $1000, so BECAREFUL what you buy!!
