No, problem lol. I actually have been in situations like this and its not fun, easiest way to get the door open is to use the coat hanger solution. I've done it several times on my mustang when I left the keys in it.

You're darn right you got lucky! I hope you learned a valuable lesson! Get straight to a locksmith and have a second set of keys made for it!

Hypothetically, you should get a second set of keys and keep them where you can easily find them. lol

THAT WAS MY SPARE SET! lol

and for some reason set 1 (the one i lost a month ago) was able to open the trunk and the doors. set 2 (the one i lost yesterday) only opens the doors. So, im still locked out of my trunk. oh well, i'll live. Definitely getting ANOTHER set made though.

My keys are a two key set. One key does the trunk and glovebox, the other key does doors and ignition. Not sure if the later cars were the same?

I found the ones for the in a coffee can the other day. I felt lucky too. I been looking for a while. As for the keys them selves I thought the oval one opened the doors, glovebox and trunk. Square was ignition only. Maybe thats why I couldn't unlock my doors.

Yea the square works the doors and ignition, the oval works the trunk and the glove-box. Somebody at some point had changed the locks on my car so I've got a separate key for those and i have a locking gas cap so I've got a bunch of keys lol.....
