holley double pumper issues 78 camaro z28

Question holley double pumper issues 78 camaro z28

hey guys whenever floor my car from a stop it doesnt fully accelerate it kindof sounds like its stalling. why would it do this? i thought it might be my holley but im not sure. if i push it 3/4 of the way then fully push the pedal down it accelerates normally. thanks alot guys! (im new to cars obviously)

I could only think of a couple possibilities...
Too much of an initial accelerator pump shot.
Not enough of an initial accelerator pump shot.
Float bowl level too high.
Float bowl level too low.
Choke not opening up fully.
Dirty fuel filter.
Fuel pump putting out too much pressure for the needle & seat to handle.
Vacuum advance (if so equipped) not working or hooked up properly.
Mechanical advance (if so equipped) not set right.

What engine is the double pumper on? If it's a built 350 or larger the double pumper is OK, but if it's not well built it could be too much carb, which explains why it goes OK when you give it 3/4 throttle.

yeah its a 350 small

Sounds like too much carb. A 650 vacuum secondary would be a better choice.
