Help restore my Z

I own a 79 Z28 T-Top 4 spd, that the previous owner set up in the classic style with air shocks, and reverse offset 15 inch Cragars 245/60's front 255/60's rear. Looks cool, chicks dig it, rice grinders can kiss it. problem is I have seen to many camaros in my home town set up this way, dose no one appreciate the beauty of the origional Z28 trim? Well I do so I'm retoring mine back to its former glory, only with a few retro 69 camaro tricks. I am having trouble finding the origional Z28 steel rims, the color matched ones with the crome trim ring and Z28 logo center cap. Dose anyone know where I can find new or perfect used origionals? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well for one, good 4 you for being original in your own ideas. instead of doin it the common way and knowing a lot of people will like it, u take the risk of doin somethin diff, which will be better anyways. www.ecklerscamaro.com they have a lot of original stuff. order their free catalog, they have one for your generation camaro.

I'm building a '65 350HP 327 for mine, not something I've seen alot of. I also have plans to put an M22 in place of my worn T10. I checked NPD, Yearone and Classic they don't offer the wheels I'm looking for, but i'm not giving up.

I finally got the rims I needed, ebay came through. Now I'm turning my attention to the interior. Some of you know that I got a donor car awhile back that had perfect origional pannels, trim, and near perfect seats. but it had an aftermarket steering wheel. I've done some checking and I wonder if anyone Can tell me if the 79 Z28's came with the standard steering wheel or the simulated rope wraped steering wheel I have only seen on 80 and 81 Z28's.
