Okay well it turns out you were right. I will never use one of those corrected distributor caps again! After the third one that faulted instantly I went back to the original cap. I can't believe I was so stupid to keep wasting time with that stupid thing! But hey, it looked real pretty sitting in the driveway.

I called accel and spoke to one of the technicians yesterday and he acted very suprised with my complaint. I am curious to see just how many people have had problems with these caps besides me. I know I'm not the only one. Its funny, I can't seem to find any reviews on these caps. I guess that should tell us all something.

I've had a few friends who put them on cars with exposed engines that get a lot of face time. They all have stories of failures, so I can't imagine it's a surprise to the makers. I think it's just better to act surprised than to tell you they've had a lot of complaints, and haven't fixed the problems.
