Default Heater core and passenger fender...

Doing my fender and heater core on my 81 tomorrow. I finally figured it out and got it off today. the "new" fender i have to replace it with seems kinda rusty. so im using the lower part of the "old" fender and putting it on the "new" fender but it doesnt seem like its gonna match up. do i need to drill new holes?

Any tricks or help for the heater core? i dont wanna pull all of it apart and find out later that i should have done something else while i had the fender off. it was sitting at my dad's house but now that its sitting at my house i can work on it whenever i have time and now its sitting there saying "fix me!". SO i cant forget about it now. Hopefully itll be running by the beginning of summer...

Have you done a search? It's been covered a lot here. Try this search link. I found a bunch here:

The fenders are often off on mounting points. If they're both factory fenders I doubt you'll need new holes, but you will probably need to hog them out a little with a unibit.

IN my experience with GM products of this era, removing the inner passenger fender or the whole fender assy is usually the fastest way to get to the heater cores. I personally have not had the chance to replace one in this body style of Camaro
