There's quite few variations in HP on a 1970 350, so you may or may not have the 300hp version. They were anywhere from 250hp to 370hp.

Well I wound up not really getting anything done today. The parts store didn't get what I need till late so didn't have the time, I was going through my manual and I can't find the torquing specs for the flywheel and pressure plate any help?

I've always just tightened them down without torquing them, but probably around 30 ft. lbs for the 3/8 pressure plate bolts in a criss-cross pattern. The flywheel bolts are much larger and should be around 60 ft. lbs. Again, I just tighten them down by feel, and always have.

Well thats what I did, cept no thread locker.
But in my manual it kinda told me how to do it, but it didn't tell me anything about putting the flywheel on, I got it all back on good but a video I watched said the crank to flywheel surface needs to be spotless cause otherwise it'll cause vibrations and since my manual didn't say anything about the flywheel I didn't think to clean that side of the flywheel and crank. The flywheel was clean but idk about the crank so I'm gonna take it all off, check, and clean it then put it all back on again lol guess it'll make me that much better at clutch installing.
Really it was all pretty dumb of me at the time to be reading from a manual with pictures of them using a torque wrench but not realising I might need to do that and it said to clean the flywheel and clutch but I didn't think about cleaning the flywheel to crank side, but oh well thats part of learning. At the time my fingers and toes were numb so all I was thinking about finishing and going inside.

LOL I plowed a 3 foot drift out of the driveway yesterday. My dads plow truck wouldn't get warm if it was on fire.
