Edelbrock Cam and Lifter Kits 2102

hello
i have a standard 355 engine camaro with 700r4 tranny.
i was thinking about puting a cam kit like the Edelbrock 2102 wich i can get for cheap.
is it worth the money? will i feel any difference in the engine and what is the best kit to use?
thanks

Really hard to say if you'll feel any difference, since you haven't given any specs on your present cam or engine setup. As for if it's worth it; the $159 price is pretty reasonable for a cam and hydraulic lifters. There are a lot of cam companies selling similar grinds for $50-$70 more.

thanks
i did say standard camaro.
i have an Edelbrock 1400 carb 600 cfm and Edelbrock 14'' air filter +Edelbrock intake manifold.
but the cam is standard.
the engine was rebuild and it is now 355.
i also have the 700R4 trany with B&M mage shifter.

The reason I questioned the cam specs is that any engine that's been rebuilt, most likely doesn't have a stock Chevy cam in it anymore. The previous owner may have said it's "standard", but if he didn't give you the part number of the cam used, you're just taking his word for it. It would be a shame to tear an engine apart to swap in a new cam and lifters, and find out you made a change that wasn't much different than what was there already.
Since I can't hear it run, or see it first hand, I can't give even a wild guess of whether it sounds or feels like a stock cam. The Edelbrock kit you listed is a pretty mild cam, and if your cam is truly identical to stock, I'm not sure it would be much difference in seat of the pants feel. Hope you understand how difficult it is for anyone on a forum to tell you the difference between your cam and the kit, when we have no idea what you have.
