Door clip question

I need to find the clip that holds the door release rod to the outside door handle, only problem is i have no idea what it's called. If anyone knows the name of this clip that would be a big help,if anyone knows of somewhere that sells this clip that would be even better.

I don't know what the name of the clip is but you could just go to a junkyard and get a used clip off a 2nd gen camaro or probably a firebird.

Yeah, that was my first thought, only problem is these cars are next to impossible to find in the junk yards here anymore. As fast as one goes in someone will buy the whole car to either rebuild or use parts from it,i've been searching the yards for a few months now trying to track down a few parts i need and the only one i found was nothing but a shell, every part was stripped.I'm sure other gm vehicles of about the same years would work,i just dont know which ones, and i'm not even sure what my clip looked like because it was missing when i bought the car, pain in the *** climbing through the passenger side to open the drivers door haha.By the way if it helps get the answer i need,it's an 81

You should go to your local locksmith, especially one that does automotive locksmithing. They usually have those little clips in an old parts bin, or even new. I've gotten them from locksmiths before, plus other parts that are connected to locks and door handles. They usually sell them pretty cheap.

Cool, thanks for the tip i never would have thought about a locksmith.Definitely gonna have to check into that, there are a few around that deal mainly with auto locks so hopefully that will work out.
