Dead as a doornail...no start...
I Just finished replacing a bad fuel pump. Got in the car to try and start it and battery was dead. Recharged battery. Got back in car and turned the key and NOTHING. No starter noise, nothing. Like the nuetral safety switch was bad. So I pulled the nuetral safety switch off and jumped across the contacts. Turned the key and still nothing. Several questions:
Can the nuetral safety switch (Purple wires running to plastic switch connected to the plastic switch by the clutch pedal) be jumped with wires to bybass the clutch switch? If so and I have done that does that point to a bad starter?
Would a bad starter be just plain dead? No noise, nothing and no warning?
Any Ideas or suggestions?

RE: Dead as a doornail...no start...
Thanks for the suggestion, I pulled the starter and took it to Autozone. Starter and solenoid both fine. The wires to the starter are spliced in a few spots, going to replace with one continous wire and see if that helps. Also going to replace the battery and see if I get a better result.
Are there any relays to go bad or other places to look?
Thanks for the help...
