damn brake drums!
ok so i took of my brake drums when i rolled the fenders because i used the eastwood tool and I finished rolling them about 10 minutes ago and then tried putting the passenger side drum back on and it won't go fully on. its like its caught on something but i checked numerous times and don't see anything. The driver side drum goes on fine and compared both the drums and don't see anything different. anyone else had this problem?
i also have tried adjusting the adjuster wheel anywhere from all the way up to all the way down and it still won't go on. here are some pics if it helps(and ignore the dirt lol) http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...4/DSC03101.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...4/DSC03100.jpg |
Hmmm, I would suggest the adjuster first and make sure that they're returning to normal compression. You may have to persuade them a little to compress but nothing drastic I would think.

Does the drum have a big raised lip towards the outside, beyond where the shoes ride?

i fixed it! it was a little ding on the hub that was preventing me to put the drum on. i sanded it down and it went on :)
