Default Carburetor for 81 Z28

I've been looking at what carburetor I want to put on my car. It is a stock 350 with an automatic transmission. My dad had the Holley Street Avenger on his '79 Z28 and he liked it, but that was on a 4 speed.

Is ther a certain carb that someone would recommend?

Also, has anyone ever purchaed a "new" one off of ebay? What are some other websites where they have good deals?

Thanks for your input....

that street avenger would be fine on a stock 350 regardless of transmission... i take it you got the turbo 350 3 speed auto. Its what i use in my 81 and im running a 383 stroker with a holly 750. www.paceparts.com is a good site to check out

If you are running a stock engine I wouldn't go larger than a 600-650 cfm....I have a holly 600 but it is problamatic...My next one will be either the stock rochestor or a 600 edelbrock.

you want to replace your Holley with a stock quadra-bog?

what kinds of problems are you having, and how old is the holley?
