Best way to lift rear pleaze hellpp!!!!
wuts the best way to lift the rear to fit the big n-50's on tha rear???i dont care how much it will cost,, just need to know the best way with the least amount of problems!!!
How much do you need to go up? If you only need an inch or so, you can install longer shackles. Hi-arch springs will gain you as much as you need, but are more work and cost to replace. Or you could have your existing springs re-arched instead. One more option is air shocks, but if they ever fail, your tires will drag.
I've had air shocks on the rear of my 71 Camaro for well over 25 yrs., with no problems. I installed them when I raced the car, so they sure haven't been babied either!
Just a hint; if you buy air shocks, get good ones, and get an independent line kit, so you have a Schrade valve for each shock. That way you can get the car perfectly level, and if you race you can preload the right side for straight launches. I always ran about 5-10 lbs. more air in the right to load it better.
