BBC Tunnel Ram Intake for $100!!

Hey guys/gals, I just saw this listing on my local CL and wondered if anyone might want this? $100!!! I haven't priced these intakes but I know that's gotta be cheap! Anyone interested let me know.

I'd jump on it in a second if it was oval port, and not square port. Still a really great price, but an oval port can go on either head style, but a square port only on a square port head.

If it came off a car with milled heads, it most likely was cut down as well to fit and wont fit stock heads correctly. Bargains are not alway bargains in the end. I ran a single quad tunnel ram on a big block on the street once. The wow factor is quickly out weighed by the lousy mileage and street manors. My car was an automatic and I'd imagine a stick car might be more forgiving.

Tunnel rams can take some messing with to make them perform well on the street, and get decent mileage, but in my opinion it's worth it for the wow factor. I wouldn't run one on my Camaro, as it just wouldn't look right with the direction I took. But I am running one on my Austin gasser's 327 which is mostly street driven. I get nearly 17 mpg on the highway with 3.73 gears, and around 12.5 mpg around town if I'm not leadfooting it. It took a little fiddling with jets, accelerator pumps, power valves, and squirters, but it has great street manners now, and I enjoy the look and preformance.

I have no reason to push the sale of this intake. Don't know the owner and don't know what's been done to it. I'm sure it would be a bagain for someone that may be looking for a tunnel ram. Calling and asking the owner a few question would cut down on having to make assumptions about what's done or not done to it though I bet.

Go pick it up for $75, clean it up well, and put it on eBay for a couple hundred bux.

Those were my original thoughts actually. Thought I'd throw it on here to see if someone was working on a project that might really enjoy having it. I'd gladly pick it up and ship it to a Camaro owner. I might just end up calling the guy back and picking it up tomorrow though. I could use the extra holiday cash!

That's the best plan yet! Make yourself some car cash. But remove the regulator and keep it for yourself! That's a $35-$70 Holley that wont make the tunnel ram worth less without it.
