Default BANG

i just put a holley dominator on my car. and i got it running. but every so often it makes a big BANG noise. out of the tail pipe. ive tried advancing the timing thinking it could be advanced but to no sucess. and ive also tried to lean it out or rich it out to get it. what am i missing. but when it does it, you can feel a puff of air out of the tail pipe. and its super loud. any ideas?

Did it do it before you changed the carb? is the carb all you changed? When does it do it and how big of a carb is it?

nah, the noise was not there before i changed the carb..after changing the carb i put some nice new ac delco plugs in it. the carb is a 1050 holley dominator. ( just an over sized regular holley). . the noise is very irratic. happens once every so often. i checked out my ignition and it seems fine. took the cap off made sure all wire connections were good. very confused. could it be to lean and thats why it makes a bang noise? any ideas?

It sounds to me like you are getting a crossfire, double check all your spark plug wires and make sure none of them are touching each other or arcing on the engine.
