Automatic stering column shift, neutral switch issue.
So, it isn't in my Camaro, but I am certain you guys will have an answer.
In my C10, I have to lift up on the steering column to get the truck to start. The neutral safety switch wont trip unless you lift up.
Where is the neutral switch located?
Do you know what color wires it uses so I can just jumper them?

mine is a 79, but I think that thread had the diagram I needed.
Looks like it is a the top of the column behind the dash.
Hopefully, there is some type of adjustment. If not I guess I can just jumper it.

So, I am lost.
Yes, it is on the top of column, next to the firewall.
I took it apart and cleaned it. With it laying on the floor set to
park. I still have to lift up on the column to start the truck.
Why do I have to pull up on the column to make the truck start?

Could it be that you're not jumpering the neutral safety sw., and actually jumpering the backup light sw.?? When you jump it turn the key to "ON" and then go see if the backup lights are on. If so, you're jumpering the wrong sw.! They're both part of the same sw., so don't get the wrong one.
