Default which air filter canister to get for air filter?

Hi i have a 1981 camaro with 350 V8 and just got a K&N air filter to replace the current cheap one but the one i got is too small for the air intake container but it was the air filter that was reccomended for my car. which air filter container should i get to fit it? its the E-1500 model air filter by the way.

do you have the stock air cleaner the thing the filter goes in or do you have a after market one ,in which that case you should have a 14inch

ok well i decided to not get that air filter and just buy another air filter housing from jegs that comes with a filter and chrome top and like half the price...ok thats good! and i know its off topic but i dont have anywhere to connect a ground strap to on my firewall but i have a lil bolt that looks like its for a ground strap but on the passenger side of the frame under the hood towards the front. could i run it from there to a cylinder head?

i really dont know, but do you have a upgraded ignition, cause if you dont then there is no reason to have expensive plug wires,if i was you i would take back those plug wires and get ones that are made for your car that are 8MM.

becuase your not even going to notice a diffrence, but if you really want to use those msd plug wires then you might want to invest in a higher out put coil. and a new cap and rotor, and some nice plugs.
