Hey guys,
So my car had AC at one point but not anymore. So now I have this big AC box on my firewall thats not doing anything. Do they make a delete plate to go over that if i remove it ? If i do remove it how hard a job is it ? Any advise or links to parts I can use would be a huge help.

Dig into my progress thread. I have one and pics are in there. BTW if you have a nice back fire through the carb. That air cleaner is gonna go up in flames, maybe taking the car with it.

 

I'm going to weld a plate in my opening. Actually probably everything from the center over I'm going to close up. When phase two comes along, I'm planning on a Vintage Air setup or Classic Air, and you need to make a new exit point anyhow, AND, it is all under the dash about 1/2 the size it used to be.

 

@nomad - funny youre the second guy this evening to comment on that air cleaner. Dont worry its just what happened to be on there when i got the car, i plan on replacing it before running the car anywhere. youre right, its junk.

 

Not dawging it, just telling you. Actually my dad bought me one for my birthday. How to you tell your dad that you don't want anything to do with it? Still don't know what to say, he was laid off for almost 3 yrs then scraps together cash for that, oh man. I felt like a (feminine wash)er for real.

 

I think im just going to throw a 14x3 circular filter on it.
