'81 Berlinetta
Ok maybe this doesnt belong here. but anyways.
Ive been dreaming about having this camaro for years. I recently saw an abandoned vehicle sticker on it. but i cant figure out how to find out who it belongs to. I looked up the VIN and figured out everything about it.
Now the engine kind of let me down. 229 V6 110 hp, 170 lb ft.
Now one of my questions is if i could upgrade this engine to have something to talk about. headers, new intake, car and so on. anything you could say would be great.
and if that wont cut it, then i found an '85 chevy full size pickup with a 350 small block, with a bunch of performance parts, like intake, carb, headers, msd ignition. AND FOR ONLY 500 BUCKS! so would this engine be able to be be dropped into this camaro. once again its a 1981 camaro berlinetta, 229 V6

Al, there is no reason that motor wont work. My '78 originally had the 250 straight six in it and the V8 just dropped right in, same motor mounts, same tranny, same everything. Now, the '81 may be a bit different but should be real close. Dont let the motor get ya down.

Wanna buy my camaro?????
Im trying to get rid of my 1979 camaro berlinetta. It has a 305, Th350 transmission, way too many extra parts that you could get like $1000 for at a swap meet. Also, its a project car and I have the engine already torn out and ready for a rebuild. The body is in perfect condition, no rust. When I drove it it tracked straight and ran fine.
Interested????
