If it's rusted out at the bottom of the quarters, personally i would say it's probably not worth $4900,but i guess it depends on what has been done to the car, like a good high performance motor,or some other type of major upgrades. If you go to look at it,make sure the rear frame rails that go from the back of the door all the way back to the rear bumper are not rusted out, they can be fixed, but it is not an easy job to do,the quarter panel rust holes are fairly easy to repair though,if you know how to weld.

Imo, for that price it'd better have some nice high perf mods. I got my 79 z28 for $1000 it was stock and needed new fenders but was cheap and was drivable. But really it all depends on what the market is around you for them, but a word of advice don't buy the first one you find, compare a few in your area for condition, mods, and price. try checking a local newspaper, craigslist, ebay etc. And welcome to the forums.

Welcome Donny!
I'd sure do some checking around on your local Craigslist and see if you can get an idea of what they're selling for. Sounds pretty high for a Camaro that's got rust issues. What part of the country are you located in?

Sounds like it's overpriced imo. Pics would really help in this case, because you'd have to see interior and all around condition.

Negotiated means he is willing to come down some on the price.Without pictures of them it's hard to say for sure, but i would guess either of the last 2 you listed would be better options. The last one for $2000,would be the first i would look at personally, body work is not that hard, and you can find transmissions pretty cheap on craigslist, etc. or you can even get a fully rebuilt one from jegs or summit for around $700 and you would still have less money in it,than the $5000 he wants for the white one.

i would say its not worth $4900 i would pay 3500 for it if it ran amazing....but is it just me or does it look like it doesn't have a rear window?....looks pretty rough from the pics

but it really depends what you want like personally i wasn't too picky for color/auto/manual but i did want the v8 Z28 so just look around till you find one that you know you "have" to buy like i did and i couldn't be happier with what i found ... btw mine is my first car too
