79 Taillight Molding Seals bad..

Default 79 Taillight Molding Seals bad..

I need alittle help..My rear taillights on both sides seem to need the seal replaced..Is there a kit for this? Any suggestions or homemade options..Some spots even caved in alittle..

yes, i def will...might to some playing around see what i can come up with without replacing the whole light, thanks rosky

Jeez, that seems a little spendy. I think I'll try some silicone sealant and a razor first. That is If I can find a decent pass side tail light to work with.

silicone is what i was going to try..Def have to give it a good cleaning first to remove the old cracked pieces..Im in the process of getting some body work fixed so I am going to replace all the weather stripping also..Yes alot of money if i can just avoid that it would be great

Wish I would have known earlier, I just sold a complete rear tail light set for $50, and the seals were in great shape.

i never had any luck...lol yea if the silicone doesnt work i will look for a pair used in good condition

they don't repop them. I think someone is getting ready to but don't remeber who. There not cheap either.
