I have a buddy that builds stocker style race cars. He got a hold of a '79 that has RED interior. He said that he heard this was a rare option and it may be worth some money. Is it? It's all original and in very good shape. Does he have something rare in his garage or can these be re-popped without much difference than the original?

I know you are looking for number, I don't have those but I worked on a lot of camaros in the early 80 and I seem to remember a lot of those bright red interiors. The other thing is at this point I don't know of and non-Z28 options that are "Valuable". The only late second gens that sell for any money are numbers matching all original or restored Z28's. So If its a all orginal numbers matching Z28 then maybe a red interior would increase the value.
