Hi im new to the form and i was wondering if anyone out there knew specifically how the front license plate bracket is mounted. I was looking into buying one from classic industries but before i do i wanted to know if there was anything else i specifically need to do or buy to mount it?

 

i guess i am not posative about the 79, but my '77 front license plate bracket just bolts to the lower RH corner of the bumper, but i'm not sure

 

well 77 has the big 5mph bumper. the 78-81 has the front facia cover. i never had to mount one. but when i bought my car. it didnt have one so i just stuck the plate in the windsheild. havent had a problem but i can foresee it becoming one with local authorities cause they have nothing better to do

 

thats right, i forgot, some states i've heard that if you have no bracket on the vehicle then you dont have to have the front plate, thats what i was always told here in Iowa anyway
