Default 79 Chevy Camaro

I have a serious question. I have a 1979 camaro Z28 that I'm fixing up and
I am going to run a 350 small block. The engine I have built is suppose to
run anywhere from 425 to 450 horsepower. Will I need to add subframe
connectors or can I get away with just running the engine without them?
The car is a solid top car (no t-tops).

The question you are asking is not so much a question of horsepower but how do you plan on driving it. The more times you flex the body, the sooner you will see cracks or wrinkles. At the 450 hp rating it is possible to run without connectors if the car is not raced. However, given the cost of body work and a paint job, frame connectors are cheap insurance if you are building up the engine.

Agree.
Is it an auto or stick?
Low gears or highways?
If you have a stick and low gears, plan on dragging it and doing a lot of hole shots and burn outs you should do the connectors for sure.
If it's an auto trans and will be mostly street driven and not pounded on all the time from a dead stop you can likely get away without them.

The car is a 4 speed manual transmission. I have 373 gears in the rear end. I have the subframe connectors in my garage already and if you think it is a good idea to put them on, I will. Thanks to you all for your input, it will really save me alot in the long run. Thank You, Philbert
