Question '77 interior questions

I want to get as many opinions as possible so I can make the best decision. Here's a little back story:
I swapped out my stock turbo 350 trans for a 5-speed when I did my engine swap. The auto console wont fit because of the new location for the shifter. My next project on this car is going to be the interior so I wanted to know if I should cut out the mounting brackets for the console and just have carpeting there or put in a new manual console. My intention is to sell the car when I finish.

The other question i have is:
When I installed my sound system, i put speakers in the backs of the front seats. Should i remove them and replace the seat back to sell it?

Right now I'm thinking that I have to either install the console to hide the speaker wires or remove the speakers so I can go without the console.

Default carpet

the easy way out would be to remove console and replace carpet 99 dollars for carpet on just about any restro parts depo.cut carpet around shifter hide hole with boot and you can run speaker wires under new carpet.I would do it this way if i was going to sell car,new consoles can get expensive even more so trying to find one for a stick car.

I actually got the console i need out of a parted out '76. It's just a matter of stripping it and repainting it to match. I'm just unsure of which set-up is more desirable. Thanks for your input!

I would put a console in it if you have one. I myself don't care much for the blank look in between the seats. I think the inside would look more complete with a console installed.

Ok. Thanks. What do you think about the speakers in the seat backs?

Can you post a pic of how you have them installed?
