Default 72 front end on a 77

so ive herd that you can put the front end from 70-76 on a 77 and it would fit directly. it looks like it would cuse of the shape of the hoods are the same. but is there anything else i should know before i do this. i like the rounds lights from the ealry 70s i would like to put some of them on my 77 also. the reason i wanta put a early year front end on is becuse its grills are much biger. it would help with the mouting of a intercooler formy turbo kit. also they lookSO much beter.

fenders are different i think, a few brackets might be different. I'm with you, a 72 front end looks a lot better, but you should also look at some changes in the rear if you're considering this. your bumpers should match, chrome (or aluminum depending on year) in front and 'glass in the back will look funny. the round taillights would look good too, you can get new rear panels to accommodate this, but they're expensive, i've seen people make their own fillers with sheet and popping holes for taillights, not too much work. essentially, you'd end up with what looks like a 72 with the 75 and later rear glass

i was gonna say something in the same area, that you would have to convert the rear as well if you change the front; if not, you would end up with a visually unproportioned camaro.

but the reason i never really brought it up earlier was- are you really gona do all this- just to add a turbo? cuz personally, if you're gonna turn your 77 into a 70-73, instead of molesting the hell out your car lol, you might as well just sell it and find a real 70-73.

i'm pretty sure there's a better way to add a turbo kit to your car. (does a camaro even really need a turbo?)
