Default 70 camaro 3 piece door panels

does anyone have a pic of what fasteners are used to fasten the top portion of 3 piece door panel for 70 camaro. There are like 4 square indentions with a hole in the center of each. It looks like there are a few more holes that the center door panel piece clips just push in, any help?

Don't have a picture, but I can describe them. They were phillips head screws with a large flat washer head that was around 1/2" diameter head and about a #8 screw 1/2" long. Any similar washer head screw from a hardware store will work fine as long as it's not too thick a head.

did they screw directly into door or did they have those metal clips that are threaded? when i got the car doors were stripped except for window regulators and door latches, so i have nothing to go off. Do u know if those fisherbody books are any good? i bought the factory manuals and they were not very helpful for interior stuff, thanks

They screw directly into the door metal on mine. There is a slot in my top panel, so it can line up with the hole they go into.

so do u think those kick panel screws with a washer on them would be too thick? they need to be completely flat?

No they'd probably work, but the length may be a concern if they're longer than 1".

There are plastic inserts that go into the doors, then the panel clips snap into those.

The screw you really want to attach the upper panels is a "phillips modified truss head" that's used to screw metal studs together on sheetrock walls for commercial construction. Here's a picture of them on the bottom left side of this page:

Most hardware stores carry these in stock, or Home Deepot, Lowes, etc.
