Default 70-73 front end on 1980

I was wondering what it would take to put the split bumper front end from a 70-73 onto my 1980. I also like the quad tail light design so I want to put the rear end on it too. I know it will make the whole car look like a 70-73 clone but there will still be small differences like the rear window so it wont be an exact clone. I was talking to a guy yesterday in person who said I could just change the core support, front fenders, front "fascia" and hood. He also said I could cut and weld in the back to get the tail lights in, or is there like a conversion kit or something other than that I can do. I also want to put a full tilt hood on it so maybe i could buy the whole front assembly as one piece? Anyone got any info? Im also looking at sandblasting the car, but with quotes that range from 550 to 1700 dollars for just the unibody without subframe I wanna do it on my own. I know the process and how it works, but can't seem to find a gun that will be worthy with a mid size compressor. Anyone with links for a cheap media blasting gun?

Ok, the guy you talked to is dead on.

the front is a piece of cake. The rear isn't for the faint of heart. I do remeber a guy on here that did it. There is some work though. No kits.

I bought my blaster for 80 bucks. Its 90# and I need more compressor. Try harbor frieght.

I looked on harbor freight and all I could find was a tiny gun and some guns that were attached to tanks. I want a siphon feed gun that I can put a hose into a bucket of media. What are your thoughts on the best media to blast the subframe and what is the best media to blast the unibody? What are your thoughts on POR15 sealant for the subframe. I know that I'm going to use it on all the sheetmetal, but I dont know about the subframe. I also didn't understand this,

"I bought my blaster for 80 bucks. Its 90# and I need more compressor. Try harbor frieght."

What do you mean by 90#? Thanks

It holds 90# of media. Its a very common blaster. No gun just a hose and a ceramic tip. I used construction sand and playgroung sand because its cheap and there aren't anyplaces to buy media. For the body I would use glass. As for por 15. I used it on the underbody, firewall and subframe. I wouldn't coat the whole car in it.
