Default 70-73 Conversion

Ok I fail at the searching I know. But Im looking for someone who has done the 70-73 front end on a later 70s camaro (mines a 78') I have a chance to pick up a 73 front end, fenders, hood, nose, grills, all of it. But I dont know if its a direct swap in or do i need anything custom fabricated. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it !

It should bolt on. Get rad support too. If there is any fab work, ti should be light.

A while back someone turned there whole car into a 70-73. It was a masterpiece. Even the rear window. Search it.

Yeah, and it was a member in Russia with some awesome metalsmithing skills. Never did see the finished car, but it was far enough to know it was looking perfect.
Found it! Here's a link to Junkman's complete rework! Enjoy!:

Considering the only major change to the body of the car was the floor pan in 75 to fit the cat, and the tail light panel I cant see why the nose would not be a direct bolt on. I am not sure but I believe the core support for any year will work but you may have mounting holes in different locations for the body panels. Things like fenders and header panels have changed alot over the 3 versions of the 2nd gen.

Get the core support from the car you are switching to. The front valance is different on the cars. Also, I've heard that the fenders are different from the years due to the front valance. As long as you have the entire front clip it should work. Hoods are interchangeable.

Well, we will need pics. That is a given, lol.

And, I'm not positive that the bumper stuff is just going to be a bolt on deal to the subframe. You'll have to cross that bridge when you get to it.
