How do you tell a true 69ss from a clone? besides the obvious badges . anything in the vin or trim tag ??????

If you look at the trim tag and their is a x code that can possible tell you if you have an ss. But if you have an x11 coded car then it could be an ss350 or a base car with style trim. Or if you just don't have an x code like my 69' you can tell by looking at things like if it has a 12-bolt rearend with multileaf, and if its a big block car there would be a 3/8 fuel line instead of the standard 5/16. But after 37 years their is a good chance the rear could have been pulled and almost always the motor and trans.
