Default 69 Restoration in progress

Bought a 69 with intent to put big block four speed in.
After sand blasting entire car it in bad shape, needs rear frame attention, floors
trunk . My question is what to do and what not to do in this process, should I have the entire floor
replaced? How do you make this new rear frame handle the beatings of a four speed? Should I buy the best sheet metal ( quarters, fenders available ) ? Not going to be a show car but heavly abused ' hopefully decent looking street strip car?
Thanks
Kevin

Not sure about the big block affects on the frame but we did just replace the entire floor pan on a small block 68. We purchased the entire floor pan from Ricks and had great success. Everything lined up great with the parts we purchased and the price for the complete floor pan compared to labor involved in installing inserts was not a huge difference. Maybe $200 difference - $350 for the complete pan and approximately $35 each for the four inserts. Make sure you check out those Rocker Panels!
I’ve never owned a big block Camaro but if it were me, I would consider the entire floor pan and install some Frame Connectors. They run about $150 for a pair. I’m sure some of the guys that drag race these cars would have much more complete information on this project.
Good Luck!

If the frame is weak you should take to a place that knows what they are doing, it's critical that everything is straight especially if you plan on making it fast. Also I hope you did not sand blast the roof/doors/quaters or hood, actual sand blasting on large panels like that can warp them badly, media or soda blasting is what should be done.

Thank for the response
Did the floor go in through the windsheild? Maybe up from the bottom?
The car was stripped with what looks like a black powder, not sure what it was ?
The name of the buisness is Prep Right and they do alot of this work.
Any input on changinging the rear frame? I have an LS6 at the machine shop
and do plan to race the car with drag radials. The place its at now is working on a price to change lots of metal ??? Could Be In Auto Body Jail for a while. Hope not!
