Oh and by the way... you want power and high revs.... look up Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins. He ran a 327 to 12 Grand. Sounded like a motorcycle going down the strip.

I was watching a video probably 40 years ago and in it Bill Jenkins was cutting two brand new Holley carbs in half right in the middle! They were spreadbores and he wanted the two large venturi rear halves to make one carb with more flow! He then built a custom carb base on his intake to accept the odd bolt pattern! Only Grump would do something that creative to make a car go faster!

the 307 is a 283 with a 327 crank in it... Mostly... It should be good for anything you build it for... the limiting factors on any motor is... let it breath.. intake and Exhaust... Compression.. Cam and Heads.. Those heads are not the best for making high Horse power... but are great at low end torque. the cam is matched to that system... it is a basic RV cam.. A newer RV cam with a better set of lifters might get you a bit of gain in power... The intake and Carb will help it pull in more O2... the smaller primaries also help with low end torque, as long as you keep your foot out of the Secondaries you might get better fuel mileage... You should have better lowend throttle response too... Let us know how things go...
My engine has about 100'000 miles on it. Car has matching numbers, by the way, that's why I am hestitating for radical changes.

The summit parts arrived savely this week, just need time to install it....

Thank you all for your tips, for sure I will be back with more questions and a little report about the progress
