Zambu, fyi the other day when I looked at the combo you're getting, Summit said their intake manifold was out of stock, and they were replacing it with a Weiand 8012 intake. I don't see that note now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Summit one you're getting is a private label Weiand 8012, or darn close to it. "Summit" brand parts are made by other manufacturers (Summit doesn't make parts), so you would be getting the same piece as the one who makes it for themselves, only with the Summit name on it.

Hey trailer hitches used to be more common on Camaros when they had small bumpers that didn't have to absorb impacts! Heck, I had a trailer hitch on my '71 back in the mid 70's to pull my utility trailer to the drag strip with my slicks, tools, and whatever else I wanted to put in when I went racing. In the old days there were a number of weekend racers who had trailer hitches to bring all their stuff to the track!
Don't see a lot of guys doing that today because of how good the DOT drag tires are today.

Camaro 69, interesting notice! In fact I was wondering if they produce themselfs or get it produced somewhere. Anyway, the order is on its way. By the way, your racing Camaro looks great! Is it street legal in US? Here you would get in jail...

Thanks nomad77 for your tip. Good to get positive comments to buy nice parts... And yes, Switzerland is in Europe.

To 1971BB427: I kind of like the idea to carry your race stuff in a trailer to the race course. Sounds classic... I think the previous owner bought the car to pull a caravan, he wanted a strong car! I will not remove so far the hitch, I might use it to pull a small trailer for motorbikes.

Here the back view (with stock rims and tires for mot control!):

I guess they don't salt the roads in Switzerland. That is one pretty car.

Fortunately mine was bolted to bumper and frame, so no holes in the body when I removed it. I do have two filler bumper bolts that I put in, but most people don't even notice the extra matching bolts in my rear bumper.

I'm good with geography. I was speaking about the band Europe (the song final countdown) . I was thinking they were from Switzerland for some reason. I now think maybe Sweden. Sorry it was a crude joke that failed miserably.

Zambo, what size are those tires anyway? Looks like you could drop a nice set of 235/60-15's or bigger, on there and get much better road handling on the mountain roads in your area.

77nomad, no problem, I did not understand exactly what you meant, I know the song..yes.. but I am not sure from what country they are... I guess I was 16 at the time the song was playing x times per day in all radio stations

Rydeer, yes they salt a lot in winter! Probably the car was only used in summer. Like I do. Still there is some rust to fix, the frame of the rear window needs to be done.

5time F, on the first pic you see the tires I use, cragar rims, 245/60-14 rear and 235/60-14 front tires. They give better handling, you're right but the car is very low and the exhaust touches sometimes on road boards and speed bumps...

1971BB427, yes, one reason not to remove the hitch, ist the holes they drilled 1973! How was yours fixed on the bumpers?
