Default 1981 Z28 - Seat Cloth Material

Hi,
I am restoring my 1981 Z28 and want to keep is a original as possible but I need to recover the drivers seat. All other seats are in mint condition. Does anyone have a lead on where I can find the original style material? I can re-use the vinyl but the cloth is starting to wear and has one small hole.

Any ideas?

thanks for your help!

Look near the bottom of this page. Match the code to the type you have and do a little more digging on google search.
Hope this helps

Also...
You should start a post in the linked section below. There are a lot of us on here that like to watch other members builds and possibly get ideas for our own.

Check National Parts Depot. They sell complete repro upholstery in factory styles and colors. Just remove the old and hog ring the new on. It's cheaper than what most shops will charge to repair your's and they will be all new materials.

Thanks for the tip. I will contact National Parts Depot. I didn't see my interior code (26C) but maybe they have a cross reference.

Thanks again. I tried to "Google" this code and came up with no real matches.

Thanks for the tip.

National Parts Depot couldn't absolutely guarentee the material was identical to the OEM seat covers but he was pretty confident it was. I will know next Monday or Tuesday.

I will report back to this page how it works out.

Thanks for the lead.

I just received the seat material from National Parts Depot and it's not even close to the original. It appears to be decent material and construction but it does not match my original material. I'll be sending it back.

Any other ideas?

thanks,
keith
