Here we go again.
How much power do you want, how long do you want the engine to stay in one piece, how much money do plan to spend, and what do you plan to use the car for?
For a measly 50 or so grand, and using an overdriven 14-71 blower, 90% nitromethane, dual magnetos, etc.. you could get the 350 Chevy up to about 4500 HP and expect it to grenade in about 4 seconds.

With a turbo or supercharger, you're going to need to rebuild your plain-jane engine accordingly so it can take it. That, or carry a basket with you to pick up all the pieces that blow out the bottom of the oil pan.
